📱 Do you spend every free moment in front of a screen? This is one of the biggest challenges of modern humanity, and aimless surfing and scrolling causes many consequences – from constant fatigue 😴 and eye strain 👀 to simply wasting time that could be used more productively.

The problem arises when, out of boredom, we open social media "just for a minute" and end up in a half-hour or even hours-long consumption of all kinds of content. 🌀

If you want to solve this problem, you first need to acknowledge it. The best way to do that is by checking your screen time in settings—that is, how much time you spend on your screen. Anything over 6 hours can be considered problematic, and it’s not uncommon for the average screen time to exceed 12 hours ⏰. Of course, the exception is if your work requires screen time as a core part of your job.

Besides all the technical options available—like setting a screen time reminder in social media app settings—you can also take a few personal steps. Here are some of them:

stop using your phone during meals or bathroom breaks – these are the most tempting moments for scrolling 🚫;

don’t use your phone one hour before going to bed 🌙;

don’t use your phone one hour after waking up 🌅;

try to assign a purpose to every use – reading news, watching a specific video, checking a message... 🎯

Technology should serve humanity as an ally in daily life—not become the master of its time. 🤖💡
