One of the most popular forms of marketing today, embraced even by the world's largest companies, is UGC marketing! This type of marketing involves UGC creators who promote a specific service or product through photos or videos, but in a way that the advertisement doesn’t actually look like an ad. It feels like a warm recommendation or an experience that everyone should have!

This approach creates a sense of social validation for potential buyers. They start to genuinely believe in a recommendation because it doesn’t come directly from a company that "just wants to take their money," but from a real person who presents a "real picture" and their experience through content on social media or a blog. The best example of UGC marketing in our region can be seen in video content on social media, not from big influencers, as they produce professional ads that are obviously sponsored by companies and are therefore losing audience trust, but from micro-influencers, who gain much more attention from the audience because they are perceived as more authentic. Since they are not paid by the company, they can share their honest opinion about a product or service!

The Most Famous UGC Campaigns in the World 👇

This type of marketing can also include any person who buys a brand’s product and identifies with it, and a great example of this is the UGC campaign launched a few years ago by Coca-Cola.

It was called Share a Coke, where Coca-Cola sold bottles of their drink with various names printed on them. Chances are, you’ve bought a Coca-Cola bottle with your name or the name of someone special, taken a photo of it, and posted it on social media! By doing so, you became a UGC creator, and Coca-Cola received free advertising, which was precisely the goal!

A similar approach was taken by Apple when it launched the Shot on iPhone campaign, which featured photos and videos captured by iPhone users. This was the perfect way to showcase the camera’s quality in a real-world setting, without investing in expensive commercial productions.

UGC marketing is becoming increasingly popular due to its authenticity, social validation, and ability to engage audiences in a creative way. As a result, companies build stronger connections with their customers, leading to better sales results!
