In a rapidly digitalizing world, basic digital literacy is becoming essential โ€“ not only for the youth, but also for the third generation, our parents, grandparents, and elders. Many of them didnโ€™t grow up with technology, but that doesnโ€™t mean they canโ€™t learn it. On the contrary, itโ€™s important that we help them enter the digital world, as it brings them greater independence, safety, and connection with the world. ๐ŸŒ

Digital literacy means knowing how to use phones, computers, and the internet โ€“ but also how to recognize fake information, protect personal data, and communicate safely. Seniors who master these skills can more easily schedule doctor appointments, pay bills, video chat with family, or find useful information without needing help from others. ๐Ÿ“ฑ๐Ÿ’ป

In Serbia, digital services are increasingly used โ€“ from eGovernment to online banking and pharmacies. While this makes life easier for many, seniors who lack digital literacy are often left behind. Thatโ€™s why programs such as free workshops in health centers, libraries, and municipalities โ€“ where seniors learn to use smartphones and the internet โ€“ are so important. ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ“š

Digital literacy for the third generation benefits not only them, but society as a whole. Seniors who are online are less lonely, more informed, and more active in their communities. When we offer them support and patience, weโ€™re not only helping them learn, weโ€™re showing them they are still a vital part of the modern world. ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒ

Learning is never too late, and digital skills today are not a privilege โ€“ they are a necessity. ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ˜Š
